The New York City Chapter of the American Orff Schulwerk Association is a local chapter of AOSA., founded in September of 1984. Our membership includes music educators from all walks of life: public, private, charter, part-time, full-time, self-employed, and retired music teachers, arts administrators, and college students, the teachers of tomorrow. NYCCAOSA and AOSA strive to bring quality professional development workshops to the music and movement education community in the greater New York City area.

We believe that music education is vital to the growth and development of all children, and that the most effective music teachers are constantly developing their own craft as musicians. Our presenters represent that belief in excellence. offering creative community workshops that support the continuous development of high quality, professional music teachers.
