Recorder Boost
Anna Maria Spallina

This workshop will feature ideas for helping emerging recorder players, targeting finger dexterity, oral articulation, and tone production. The recorder will be featured in various playing, improvisation and movement activities for upper elementary grades.

Anna Marie Spallina teaches Pre-K through 5th grade general music at PS 163 in New York City. She received her Orff certification from New England Conservatory and has attended summer Orff courses in Salzburg, Austria and Assisi, Italy. She has taught Orff teacher training courses, has presented at national AOSA conferences, and was a contributor to the McGraw-Hill “Share the Music” series. Currently, Anna Marie also performs as a member of the early music trio Avon Faire.
